Tlusty, Dwyer assist in 'Canes win

A day after he was recalled by Carolina, left wing Jiri Tlusty contributed to the Hurricanes’ 2-1 overtime victory over Rangers in New York on Saturday.
Tlusty and right wing Pat Dwyer (Albany’s team captain who was recalled by Carolina on Dec. 12) assisted on Tom Kostopoulos’ goal 19:14 into the game. Ray Whitney followed with the game winner 3:45 into overtime for Carolina. Tlusty’s assist was his first point with Carolina and Dwyer has three (2-1) points in 17 games with the Hurricanes this season.
Tlusty was recalled by the Hurricanes on Friday along with rookie center Zach Boychuk.
Also on Friday, forward Matthew Pistilli was recalled from Florida of the ECHL and assigned to Albany; and forward Matt Schepke was signed to a professional tryout.
