HERSHEY, Pa. --- The Albany River Rats and Hershey Bears are tied 3-3 and headed to overtime in Game 1 of their East Division final series.
Jerome Samson scored the go-ahead goal on a long-range drive from just inside the left faceoff circle to beat goalie Michal Neuvirth 7:13 into the third period.
It was the second goal of the night for Samson and former Rat Keith Aucoin followed with the tying goal by firing in a rebound at 13:16.
Albany was out shot 37-25 in regulation, including 16-4 in the third stanza.
