Crunch rout River Rats

SYRACUSE — Right wing Michael Blunden and center Mike Radja each scored two goals to propel Syracuse past Albany, 6-3 on Saturday night in an American Hockey League clash at Onondaga War Memorial at Oncenter.
Blunden scored both of his goals to complete a four-goal third period for the Crunch (12-19-3-2).
After rookie left wing Chris Terry scored with 11 minutes in regulation to pull the Rats within 4-3, Blunden scored an unassisted goal at 16:19 and also scored at 18:29.
Center Tomas Kana added a goal and two assists for last-place Syracuse.
Right wing Jerome Samson scored twice for second-place Albany (19-15-1-2), which has now lost four of its past five games.
Kevin Lalande made 29 saves to earn the win for the Crunch, which have won two of their last three outings.
Making his second straight start, rookie goalie Mike Murphy stopped 23 of 29 shots faced and had his win streak halted at four games. Albany will hosts Adirondack on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
