Right wing Steven Goertzen was recalled by the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
This is the first promotion to Carolina for the 25-year-old Goertzen, who is in his first season with the Hurricanes’ organization.
A seven-year-pro, Goertzen has tallied 13 (six goals-seven assists) in 45 games with Albany, including two goals over the past three games.
Goertzen has appeared in 62 NHL games with Columbus and Phoenix, most recently 16 games with the Coyotes last season.
