Peters helps lead Canada in skills
Albany goalie Justin Peters helped pace the Canadian team past PlanetUSA, 18-12, in the AHL All-Star Classic skills competition at Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.
Peters combined with Hamilton goalie Cedrick Desjardins and Manchester netminder Jonathan Bernier for Canada, which ended a three-event losing streak in the skills competition.
Claiming the top goaltender award in the event, Desjardins stopped 16 of 19 shots for Canada, while Peters and Bernier made 12 saves each to help seal the win.
