Rats, Bears tied at 1-1 after first period
HERSHEY, Pa. --- The Albany River Rats are tied with the Hershey Bears, 1-1 after the first period of Game 2 of the East Division final in the American Hockey League.
Hershey struck first as right wing Ashton Rome one-timed a feed from behind the net from center Kyle Wilson 10:48 into the game.
Rookie winger Drayson Bowman drew Albany even by sending a backhander past goalie Michal Neuvirth at 15:37 for his second goal of the playoffs.
Rats goalie Justin Peters stopped nine of 10 shots faced and Neuvirth made seven stops in the period.
