Cavosie signs PTO with Albany

The River Rats have signed forward Marc Cavosie to a professional tryout.
A former Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute standout and an ex-River Rat, the 28-year-old Cavosie has played this season for both Lake Erie of the AHL and Reading of the ECHL.
An eighth-year pro who grew up in Cohoes, Cavosie played with the River Rats in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons, totaling 16 (4-12) points in 27 games. He began last season on a PTO with Albany before signing with the Binghamton Senators, where he registered 23 (10-13) points in 64 games.
Originally Minnesota’s fourth round selection (99th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Cavosie is a veteran of 359 AHL games, in which he’s compiled 140 points, including 40 goals.
