Rookie defenseman Jamie McBain was recalled by the Carolina Hurricanes.
The recall is the first for McBain, who will be available for Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Bruins.
McBain, who will turn 22 on March 25, native leads all Albany River Rats defensemen and ranks second among the team in scoring this season with 40 points (7 goals-33 assists) in 68 games played. Listed at 6-2, 200 pounds, McBain ranks third on the River Rats in plus/minus (+13) and is currently ninth among AHL defensemen in points this season.
